Confidentiality
Please be assured that complete confidentiality starts from the moment of your first contact. If we are returning your call, we will not reveal the purpose of the call if someone else happens to pick up your phone, whether it is at work or at home.
Scheduling a session
When booking your initial consultation you will be asked for a contact address and phone number. Please ensure that any change of contact details during your treatment period is noted. To book your initial consultation please use our on-line appointment system by click here.
Number of Sessions
As each person and the cause of their problem is unique, the number of sessions required depends entirely on the individual case. A clearer idea of the expected number of sessions will be given at the initial consultation. It should be remembered that successful therapy requires a commitment to treatment and a desire to change. Goals are usually achieved more quickly when clients are open and receptive to the idea of hypnosis, since no one can be hypnotised against their will.
Running Late?
Don’t worry. But if you have a mobile telephone and know you won’t be able to get to your appointment on time, please give us a call to let us know. The telephone may not not be answered while we are working with clients, but please leave a message as we will pick this up shortly.However please see our policy on No Shows and Cancellations.
Cancellation Policy
Please note that this is a busy hypnotherapy practice and sessions, especially evening appointments, are very much in demand. If you need to cancel an appointment please let me know as soon as possible so that I am able to offer the session to someone else. At least 48 hours notice of cancellation and rescheduling is required, otherwise it may be necessary to charge the full session fee.
No Shows
In the unlikely event that you do not arrive for your scheduled appointment without contacting us your payment for that session will be forfeited. On any subsequent no show we reserve the right to terminate therapy with immediate effect forfeiting any unused prepaid sessions.
Testimonials
You may be wondering why there are no published testimonials on this web site. This is because client testimonials are considered unethical by many professional therapy related bodies as they have the potential to be fabricated. Also, the Advertising Standards Authority require any testimonial to be verifiable and that would conflict with client confidentiality. I understand that many people find testimonials reassuring, but please bear the above in mind. We adhere to our association’s code of ethics and therefore do not publish testimonials.
Payments
Payments are due at the time of booking any session. Most clients like to use our easy to use on-line appointment system to manage their appointments. We can arrange for either bank transfers or cash payments under certain circumstances please call for information.
Access to therapy
We require all clients to participate in our extensive no obligation initial consultation during which your therapist will conduct an extensive screening and assessment process. This will ensure that it is safe for you to commence therapy. Under certain circumstances where your therapist feels that hypnotherapy is contra-indicated we reserve the right to decline to treat clients or require permission from their GP. Should it be come apparent that there are underlying conditions once therapy has commenced your therapist will for your safety immediately cease therapy and refund any outstanding unused sessions.
